The Sometimes Cheeky, Always Catchy, Surprisingly Philosphical episode titles of Dr. 90210
As ever here at What Makes Jeffy Run?, my job is to entertain and inform. Part of that means watching bad cable so you don't have to. If you've never seen an episode of E's hit show "Dr. 90210", here's the setup: Rich, handsome Beverly Hills plastic surgeon meets patients, and performs extensive plastic surgery procedures on them, all for the cameras, often in graphic detail. This is, no joke, one of E's most popular programs, now entering it's 6th season. Here, for your enjoyment, are a list of episode titles from season 5:
The Implanted
The Family Ties That Bind
Hollywood Mending
Sexual Healing
Pit Stops on the Road to Perfection
Hello Mother, Hello Father
Reinvention
Regeneration Gap
Rebuilt to Perform
Eye on the Prize
Freedom Riders
Forces of Second Nature
The Gilded Ages
Reflections of the Way Life Used to Be (My personal favorite, so deep...)
Body Meets Soul
Eariler seasons have included such gems as "Father Knows Breast" and "Man's Best Friends: Boobs, Dogs, and Snakes". We now return to our regularly scheduled programming. (Also, for a lighter variation on the theme, I suggest a re-viewing of the Michael J. Fox vehicle "Doc Hollywood.")
Working Out with Dixie Carter
I realize that simply posting YouTube videos probably makes me a pretty lazy blogger, but I'm fine with that. I guess you can file this one under "perks of working in a Duplication Facility." The following is a clip from a VHS tape that came through my work the other day. I have no idea who ordered a dub or this, or why, but they have my gratitude.
A Palin Family Thanksgiving
This has been all over the web, but it's mindblowing, so I'm also posting it here:
2 things.
1. I love the wink at the end.
2. Is their son really named Stryker Brigade? What the What?

My Brother the Poll Watcher
I hereby proudly present my brother Jeremy Root, Esq., volunteering his time and keeping the polls in Columbia, Missouri safe for Democracy. Sadly, it appears that the Republican candidate carried the state, but Mr. Root gave a good report of a long and UNEVENTFUL day of voting. (Photo from The Columbia Daily Tribune)

Election Day: Part 2: California seals the Deal
California is a blue state. It's such a blue state that Obama barely even showed up here during his campaign, with the exception of a few fundraising trips. But last night, it was California that put Barack Obama over the top. On a cold windy night in Los Angeles, we were all a part of a proud moment in American history. More to come...
